Oxford Brookes alumna and Pakistan’s first-ever female architect, Yasmeen Lari, has been
awarded the Jane Drew Prize 2020 for her steadfast work in highlighting the role of women in
architecture and design.
Yasmeen joins an esteemed group including Zaha Hadid, Amanda Levete and Elizabeth Diller, who
were previous recipients of the prize.

Yasmeen Lari was invited by RIBA+VitrA to speak at the exciting new Victoria and Albert Design Museum in Dundee. The visit was combined with an invitation by V&A and INTBAU to speak at the historic Victoria and Albert Museum in London and Dumfries House with participants of the Prince’s School of Design program. She became the first architect to speak at both V&A museums.
